READING COMPREHENSION

ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS.

4. Read the following selection carefully. Do NOT translate the selection, but answer
the questions in ENGLISH.

YOU WILL BE PENALIZED FOR DISREGARDING THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

A Most Important Lesson

Answer, in ENGLISH, the following questions based on the selection you have just
read. Use a complete sentence for EACH response.

(a) What kind of boy was Antonio? (1 mark)

(b) How did Antonio ALWAYS perform in examinations? (2 marks)

(c) What was Antonio’s MAIN problem? (1 mark)

(d) Outline what contributed to Antonio’s problem. (2 marks)

(e) What THREE things did Antonio’s mother urge him to do? (3 marks)

(f) What did Antonio’s neighbours do for him? (1 mark)
